Prolonged use of pain killers found to increase risk of hearing loss in women, study suggests
-In the study, data of about 55,850 women enrolled for the US Health investigations, was considered to study the association between painkillers and hearing loss
-As per the study, consistent use (for as long as 6 years) of the pain killers was found to be linked with higher risk of hearing loss (10%) amongst women.
-It was stated that further investigations were needed to reason out these findings.
-Findings were published in American Journal of Epidemiology
