Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli found to prevent occurrence of prostate cancer, study reveals
-A recent study, conducted by Oregano State University (US), revealed that intake of cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli was found to lower the risk of developing prostate cancer.
-As per the studies, cruciferous vegetables are rich source of sulforaphanes that help to produce enzymes that can fight cancer such as prostate cancer.
-The study showcased that the sulforaphanes in broccoli could regulate the expression of IncRNA (the long and non-coding RNA sequence present in broccoli) and therefore prevent the cancer.
-Findings were published in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry
