Exercise and cutting onto calories may help to avert lifestyle problems such as type II diabetes, study reveals
-Recent study, conducted by researchers in McMaster University, enrolled patients of diabetes and monitored their blood sugar levels and also the diet consumed by them.
-The diet consumed by these participants was monitored. They were made to consume only 500-750 calories a day and were assisted with a diet plan provided by expert dieticians.
-It was observed that after four months, 30-40% of the participants stopped taking their medication.
-Additionally, it was also seen that participants of the study were able to produce adequate insulin levels after streamlining their eating habits.
-Findings were published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism
