Diet low on carbs found to be more effective in weight loss compared to low fats diet, study suggests
-In the study, experts from Mayo Clinic (Arizona), reviewed and analysed 41 trials that enrolled participants following low carbs and low fats diets.
-As per the study, participants following low carbs diet lost about 2.5-9 pounds compared to those who followed low-fats diet.
-Additionally, the study suggested that the low carbs diet was found to be effective for weight loss without adverse effects on blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol.
-Experts advised people to consume real foods and fruits and avoid processed foods such as processed meats, bacon, sausages, hot dogs and hams.
-Findings were published in The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association.
