Music found to aid performance during strenuous and high intensity exercises, study suggests
A recent study, conducted by McMaster University (Ontario), suggested that rigorous work out sessions such as high intensity interval training (HIIT) could be relatively easy to perform if they were performed along with music.
-Researchers grouped a set of healthy and young men and women into two groups, one where the people performed their exercise along with music and other without music.
-Post their respective workouts, the groups were interrogated and analysed, and suggested that music helped them carry out strenuous work-out easily and effectively.
-Group performing with music rated their experience of the exercise better than those who performed their exercise without music.
-Findings were published in Journal of Sports Science
