Being overweight could make your brain to age faster, as much as by 10 years, suggests a recent study.
-A study conducted by University of Cambridge included 524 overweight adults aged between 20-87 years (with Body Mass Index (BMI) more than 25).
– It was observed that people with BMI more than 25 were found to have lower volumes of white matter (nerve cells responsible for carrying nerve impulses) in their brain compared to those with BMI less than 25.
-Researchers also added that the overweight participants were found to have brain health similar to their healthy candidates who were 10 years older, suggesting that being overweight could make your brain to age faster.
