Amla strengthens eye muscles and cleanses the eyes of foreign objects. Haritaki or harad prevents eye conditions like cataract & glaucoma. Regular use of triphala water has been known to improve vision and slow down deterioration of the eyes and conditions related to it. Mix 1-2 tablets or ½ teaspoon of triphala Powder in 300 ml of water, soak overnight. Filter this mix and use it to wash your eyes with, every morning. For best results use a copper vessel to store the Triphala water.
2 . Regulates Metabolism
Good metabolism is the key to good health. Ayurveda states that all ailments rise from a sluggish metabolism. Triphala is a detoxifier, it jump starts the excretory system, cleans the urinary system, improves the digestive system and purifies blood, all functions which help keep one hale and hearty for years. Start with 1-2 triphala tables once a week. It is recommended that triphala tablets be consumed over a weekend the first time as it is laxative in nature.

For those wanting to lose weight, drink a tea made with triphala 2 times a week 45 minutes after dinner. Regular use of triphala, helps regulate bowel movements, relieves gas, strengthens rectal muscles & nourishes the digestive tract. Mix ½ a teaspoon of triphala powder with water and drink on an empty stomach early in the morning 2-3 times a week.

-Triphala is a very powerful medicine and not free from side effects, it must be consumed with caution.
-Pregnant women, people suffering from diabetes, cannot consume triphala.
-Excessive use can lead to stomach issues, gas and bloating, loose motions and dehydration. Stop intake if you experience any of these symptoms.
