Prediabetes occurs when blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not yet in the diabetic range. If left unmanaged, it can lead to type 2 diabetes. Early intervention is key to prevention.

Research suggests that pistachios may help regulate blood sugar levels. Their high fiber content, healthy fats, and antioxidants contribute to better blood glucose management.

According to a study by Dr. V Mohan, Chief of Diabetes Research, Madras Diabetes Research Foundation, consuming 30 gms of pistachios before breakfast and dinner improved blood sugar and much lower post-meal blood glucose levels.

Research-Backed Benefits

The same study found that participants consuming 60 grams of pistachios over two meals (30g before breakfast & dinner) showed no weight gain, making it a great option for those managing prediabetes.
