Keep unopened insulin in the fridge, ideally between 2°C and 8°C. Never freeze it, as freezing damages insulin and reduces its effectiveness.

Once opened, store insulin at room temperature (below 25°C) for up to one month. After that, it should be discarded.

Keep your insulin away from direct sunlight and heat sources like stoves, and appliances. Heat can break down insulin, making it less potent.

Never leave insulin in your car, as temperature swings can ruin it. Instead, use a cooling bag to maintain temperature when on the go.
