GBS Surge: How unpasteurized foods may contribute to the outbreak?

As of January 27, Over 100 cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) have been reported in Pune.

GBS is a rare autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks peripheral nerves, causing weakness, numbness, & paralysis, often after you have had some type of infection like gastrointestinal or respiratory.

Campylobacter jejuni, a bacteria in contaminated food, is a major cause of GBS, often triggered by consuming undercooked poultry or contaminated food.
