Place the raw almonds in a bowl and cover them with water. Soak the almonds overnight or for at least 8 hours. This softens the almonds and makes it easier to extract the oil.

After soaking, drain the almonds and peel off their skins. Peeling is optional but can result in a purer oil.

Place the soaked and peeled almonds in a blender or food processor. Blend until you achieve a smooth almond paste. If needed, add a small amount of water to help with blending.

Transfer the almond paste to a saucepan and heat it gently over low heat. Stir continuously to prevent burning. Heat until the paste becomes warm and releases its oil. Be careful not to overheat, as this can degrade the quality of the oil.

Place a cheesecloth or fine strainer over a bowl and pour the almond paste into it. Squeeze or press the paste to extract the oil. If using, you can add a tablespoon of carrier oil to help with the extraction process.

Massage the almond oil into your scalp and hair, focusing on the roots. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes or overnight before washing it out with a mild shampoo. Use it 2-3 times a week for best results.
