Start by rinsing the black seeds under water to remove any impurities. Pat them dry with a clean cloth.

Lightly toast the black seeds in a dry pan over low heat for a few minutes until they become aromatic. This step is optional, but toasting can remove any moisture.

Place the toasted (or raw) black seeds in a blender or food processor. Add the carrier oil of your choice. Blend until you achieve a thick paste. You may need to add a little more oil to help with blending.

Transfer the paste to a saucepan and gently heat it over low heat. Allow it to warm for about 15-20 minutes. Make sure not to let it boil, as high temperatures can destroy the beneficial properties of the oil.

After heating, let the mixture cool down slightly. Then, use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the oil into a clean glass container, discarding the leftover seed paste.

Seal the container tightly and store the black seed oil in a cool, dark place. It can last for several months.

Massage the black seed oil directly onto your scalp and hair. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes or overnight for deeper penetration. Wash it out with a mild shampoo.
