How to measure Blood pressure correctly at home?

Small mistakes, can lead to inaccurate blood pressure readings. Here are a few BP monitoring tips.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, smoking, or exercise 30 minutes before. 

Prepare In Advance

Sit with back supported, feet flat, and arm at heart level in a quiet space.

Sit Properly

Place the cuff snugly on your bare arm at heart level. Use a validated, calibrated device, and sit quietly during the reading.

Proper Technique

Take two readings, one minute apart—morning (before medications) and evening (before bed). Record each reading for tracking.

Take readings at the same time daily. Track multiple readings over a few days.

Monitor Regularly
