Stand straight with your shoulders back and hands on your hips. Observe:  - Usual size, shape, and color - Even shape without any   distortion or swelling  - Look for dimpling, bulging,   or redness

Lift both arms and check for any changes. Notice the shape and appearance from different angles.

Step 2: Raise Your Arms

Look closely for any fluid from the nipples—whether it's watery, milky, yellow, or blood-tinged.

Step 3: Check For Nipple Discharge

Lie down and gently press your breast in a circular motion using your opposite hand. Cover the entire area, feeling for any unusual lumps or thickening.

Repeat the same process while standing or sitting. Doing this in the shower, with slippery skin, can help make the exam easier.
