To prepare rice water, rinse half a cup of uncooked rice thoroughly to remove impurities. Add the rinsed rice to 2-3 cups of water and let it soak for 30 minutes. Stir the rice gently before straining the water into a clean bowl.

For enhanced benefits, allow the rice water to ferment by leaving it at room temperature for 12-24 hours. Fermentation lowers its pH, making it more beneficial for hair.

Fermented rice water can be potent, so dilute it with plain water before use. Mix one part of fermented rice water with two parts of water.

After shampooing your hair, pour the rice water over your scalp and hair, ensuring every strand is coated. Gently massage it into your scalp for a few minutes to stimulate hair follicles.

Let the rice water sit for 10-20 minutes before rinsing it off thoroughly with lukewarm water. Avoid leaving it in for too long to prevent protein buildup.

Use rice water once or twice a week for best results. Overuse may lead to protein overload, which can make hair stiff and dry.
