Always dilute rosemary oil with a carrier oil before applying it to your scalp. Good carrier oils include coconut oil, olive oil, or jojoba oil. A common ratio is 3-5 drops of rosemary oil per tablespoon of carrier oil.

After massaging, you can leave the oil on your scalp for at least 30 minutes. For added benefits, consider wrapping your hair in a warm towel to enhance absorption. You can also leave it overnight and wash it out in the morning.
