The advisory calls for robust surveillance & testing protocols. States & UTs are urged to implement updated guidelines from the NCDC, which include detailed strategies for case tracking and clinical management.

Recent data reveals that young males, with an average age of 34, are most affected by Mpox. It is primarily spread through sexual contact, as well as non-sexual person-to-person contact.

A 26-year-old man from Haryana, recently traveled to a Mpox-infected country & tested positive for Clade 2. He is currently hospitalized in Delhi with symptoms including rashes & boils.
