AIIMS Delhi has implemented comprehensive guidelines for managing suspected Mpox(Monkeypox) cases. These guidelines focus on patient safety, & proper isolation to ensure effective handling of the situation.

Patients with fever, rash, or known exposure to Mpox should be flagged for immediate assessment. Key symptoms include fever, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, and distinctive skin lesions.

Suspected Mpox patients should be isolated in AIIMS' AB-7 ward, with beds No. 33-37 reserved for them. This ensures protection against cross-contamination and maintains strict safety protocols.

AB-7 will temporarily house Mpox patients, based on the emergency CMO’s recommendation. They will receive treatment there until transferred to Safdarjung Hospital for definitive care.

Report suspected Mpox cases to the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) at 8745011784. Provide patient details, symptoms, and contact history for further guidance.

For comprehensive care, suspected Mpox patients should be referred to Safdarjung Hospital, which is equipped for definitive Mpox management.
