Painful periods? It might be endometriosis

Nine out of ten women get period cramps, but if the pain is severe, lasts longer, or doesn’t ease with usual remedies, it could be endometriosis.

 It is a condition where tissue similar to the uterus lining grows outside the uterus. This can cause severe pelvic pain, especially during periods, and may interfere with daily life.

Regular Period Pain: Mild to severe cramps, manageable with heat therapy or mild painkillers.

Endometriosis Pain: Intense pain (or low back pain), lasts longer, may not improve with over-the-counter medication, and is often accompanied by chronic pelvic pain.
