Sawan Special: Easy Protein-Rich Besan Halwa Recipe

This protein-rich besan halwa is both nutritious and delicious, making it an excellent option for believers observing the vrat.

1 cup besan, 2 tablespoons ghee, 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts, cup jaggery or honey, cup water, 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder, a pinch of saffron strands.

In a pan, heat the ghee on medium flame.

Heat Ghee

Add besan and roast, stirring continuously until golden brown. Then add nuts.

Roast Besan

Stir in jaggery then gradually add water, mixing well.

Sweeten & Add Water

Cook until thickened, then add cardamom powder and saffron. Cool before serving.
