Tea and coffee are acidic in nature. Drinking them on an empty stomach can increase acidity levels, leading to heartburn, indigestion, and discomfort, especially in those with sensitive stomachs.

Consuming tea or coffee first thing in the morning can disrupt your digestive system. It may interfere with the production of stomach acid needed for proper digestion, causing bloating and other digestive issues.

Coffee stimulates the production of cortisol, the stress hormone. Drinking it on an empty stomach may increase cortisol levels, leading to hormonal imbalances, affecting your mood & energy levels throughout the day.
