Look, listen, and feel for signs of breathing. If the person is not breathing normally, start CPR.

Place the heel of your hand on the center of the person's chest (lower half of the breastbone or sternum). Use your body weight to compress the chest at least 2 inches deep and at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute.

After 30 compressions, give two rescue breaths. Ensure a proper seal over the person's mouth and nose and give breaths lasting about one second each.

Continue cycles of chest compressions and rescue breaths until emergency medical help arrives, the person starts breathing on their own, or you are too exhausted to continue.
