Give Chest Compressions

Place the heel of your hand on the center of the person's chest (lower half of the breastbone or sternum). Use your body weight to compress the chest at least 2 inches deep and at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute.

Give Rescue Breaths

After 30 compressions, give two rescue breaths. Ensure a proper seal over the person's mouth and nose and give breaths lasting about one second each.

Continue CPR

Continue cycles of chest compressions and rescue breaths until emergency medical help arrives, the person starts breathing on their own, or you are too exhausted to continue.
