Mother To Child Transmission

A pregnant woman infected with Zika can pass the virus to her fetus during pregnancy. This can lead to serious birth defects, including microcephaly, a condition where the baby's head is smaller than expected.

Sexual Transmission

 Zika can be transmitted through sexual contact with an infected person. This can occur even if the infected person has no symptoms.
