Chia seeds are high in fiber, which can cause bloating or discomfort if you have digestive issues or a sensitive stomach. Start with small amounts and monitor your body’s response.

Chia seeds absorb liquid and expand. If you have trouble swallowing or a condition affecting your swallowing, avoid chia seeds or ensure they are fully hydrated before consumption.
