Generally men have a higher metabolic rate due to more muscle mass, which burns more calories even at rest. But females have a lower metabolic rate, leading to slower calorie burn.

Testosterone helps in males to maintain muscle mass, which can aid in weight management. But due to hormone fluctuation of estrogen & progesterone, especially during periods, can influence weight gain in women.
