- Resident of Tamil Nadu with his/her name in the family card and annual income less than INR 1.2 lakh per annum.
- Srilankan refugees in the camps (without any income limit).
- Migrants from other states residing in the state for more than six months.
- Orphans residing in any registered/unregistered organization.
- The Scheme provides financial coverage for certain diagnostic, treatments and followup procedures that require hospitalization and are associated with high cost of care.
- To be eligible, produce family card and Income certificate by the VAO/Revenue authorities along with the self declaration of the head of the concerned family.
The scheme provides coverage up to INR 5 lakhs per family per year on a floater basis for the ailments and procedures covered under the scheme.
- Surgical oncology- 133 procedures
- Medical oncology- 750 procedures
- Radiation oncology- 23 procedures
- For BPL Tamil Nadu resident- Family card and income certificate by the VAO/revenue authorities along with the self declaration of the head of the concerned family.
- For migrants- Identification from suitable aurthority regarding residence for more than 6 months in state and endorsement from labor department.

Health Minister's Cancer Patient Fund (HMCPF) under Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi (RAN)

Patients from poor families (not belonging to Central govt./state govt./PSU employees, PMJAY beneficiary), who are suffering from cancer.
For treatment of cancer at 27 RCCs only and not applicable for treatment/facilities which are available free of cost.
- One time financial assistance of up to INR 5 lakhs in emergency cases
- Individual cases, which require assistance of more than INR 5 lakhs or cases where funds are not available with RCC will be sent to the ministry for processing.
- Income certificate of the patient/parents/other major eaming members of the family, indicating income from all sources, duly certified by the Block or Mandal Development Officer/Tehsildar/SDM/Administrator/Special Officer of Municipal Boards/District Officer.
- A copy of the entire ration card along with its cover page, with details of all the family members, issued by thc Food and Civil Supplies Department of the StateAIT Govemment duly self attested.

Health Insurance Scheme for Pensioners (including spouse)/Family Pensioners (2014) (replaced the Tamil Nadu Government Pensioners' Health Fund Scheme, 1995)

Automatically applies to existing/future pensioners/family pensioners whose pension/family pension is paid out of the Consolidated Fund of Tamil Nadu and who draw their pension/family pension from the Pension Pay Office, Chennai/District Treasury/Sub-Treasury.
Financial coverage through cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals for certain treatments (including pre-existing illnesses) and for admissable emergency care at non-network hospitals.
- Pensioner (including spouse)/family pensioner for a block of four years for the approved treatments for up to INR 4 lakhs. The annual premium of INR 3800/- paid by the government will be recovered from the pensioners/family pensioners at the rate of INR 350/- per month through deductions.
- The financial assistance shall be enhanced to INR 7.5 lakhs

Scheme is a compulsory registration for the eligible beneficiaries with exception to opt-out for certain beneficairies living out-side Tamil Nadu.

PMNRF is being utilized primarily to render immediate relief to families of those killed in natural calamities, like floods, cyclones, earthquakes, etc. and to the victims of the major accidents and riots. Assistance from PMNRF is also rendered to partially defray the expenses for medical treatment like heart surgeries, kidney transplantation, cancer treatment, acid attack, etc.

The inclusion of households is based on the deprivation and occupational criteria of the Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011 (SECC 2011) for rural and urban areas, respectively. This number also includes families that were covered in the RSBY but were not present in the SECC 2011 database.

The scheme provides coverage up to INR 5 lakhs per family per year on a floater basis for the ailments and procedures covered under the scheme.
