3D-CT Scan Left Wrist Joint
Understanding 3D-CT Scan Left Wrist Joint
What is 3D-CT Scan Left Wrist Joint?
3D CT Left Wrist is an X-ray imaging technique that scans the left wrist for fractures, soft tissue injury, and the condition of the surrounding blood vessels. A high dose of X-rays captures hundreds to thousands of 2D images from different angles and cross-sections. They are combined into final 3-dimensional images which give a clear and detailed picture of the internal condition of the left wrist. The scan usually takes up to 10 to 15 minutes.
Though the scans are painless, fast, and easy, the radiation exposure may cause nausea, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort in some people. Pregnant women must inform the doctor beforehand. People are asked to remove any metal wearings from their bodies before the scan. If the results are abnormal, the doctor prescribes necessary treatments.
