Aprifast Capsule is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of nausea or vomiting experienced as a side effect of chemotherapy or anti-cancer treatment. It inhibits the signal to reach the brain that causes the feeling of nausea or vomiting.
Aprifast Capsule is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Kidney

Aprifast Capsule is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Aprifast Capsule is recommended.
Liver
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Aprifast Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Aprifast Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
What if you forget to take Aprifast Capsule Combipack?
If you miss a dose of Aprifast Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

- Aprifast Capsule is taken alongside other medicines to help stop sickness (nausea and vomiting) after chemotherapy.
- Even if you do not feel like eating or drinking, try to sip water regularly to prevent you from becoming lacking in fluid in the body (dehydrated).
- If you are taking any contraceptive 'pill' at the same time as this medicine, the effectiveness of the 'pill' can be reduced if you have a bout of being sick (vomiting) which lasts for more than 24 hours. In such a case, ask your doctor for additional contraceptive precautions.
