Atazor 200mg Capsule is an antiviral or antiretroviral medicine. It is used in the treatment of HIV infection. It stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection.

Atazor 200mg Capsule should be taken with food, as this increases the absorption of the medicine into the body. You should take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. If you stop taking this medicine too early then infection may return or worsen.

The most common side effects of this medicine include rash, headache, dizziness, and vomiting. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days.

Before using it, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics or have any kidney or liver problems. Liver
CAUTION
Atazor 200mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Atazor 200mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Atazor 200mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with moderate and severe liver disease.

What if you forget to take Atazor Capsule?

If you miss a dose of Atazor 200mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Atazor with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
Concomitant use may affect heart rhythm and may be fatal. Do not consume Domperidone with Atazanavir.
Atazanavir may raise blood levels of Ivabradine. Do not consume Ivabradine with Atazanavir.
Concomitant use may affect heart rhythm and may be fatal. Do not consume Ranolazine with Atazanavir.
Concurrent use may cause muscle damage. Atazanavir may raise blood levels of Simvastatin. Do not consume Simvastatin with Atazanavir.
Concurrent use may cause serious damage to muscles. Atazanavir may raise blood levels of Lovastatin. Do not consume Lovastatin with Atazanavir.
