Aztor EZ 20 mg/10 mg Tablet is a medicine used to treat high cholesterol. It is a combination of two medicines that reduces "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides (fats) levels.
Aztor EZ 20 mg/10 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. You can help this medicine work better by making a few changes to your lifestyle such as keeping active, stopping smoking, eating a healthy low-fat diet and exercise regularly.
Nausea, stomach pain, constipation, and muscle pain are some common side effects of this medicine. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days. Let your doctor know if you notice yellowing of skin or eyes, unusually dark urine or dark stools as it might be symptoms of liver damage. You may be asked for regular monitoring of blood sugar level, and liver function while taking this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any kidney or liver problems or high blood pressure. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

How to use Aztor EZ Tablet

How Aztor EZ Tablet works
Atorvastatin and ezetimibe. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL) while raising "good" cholesterol (HDL) levels. Ezetimibe is a cholesterol absorption inhibitor which prevents absorption of cholesterol from the intestines. Together, they provide better reduction of cholesterol in your body.

Aztor EZ 20 mg/10 mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Aztor EZ 20 mg/10 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Aztor EZ 20 mg/10 mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Aztor EZ 20 mg/10 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Aztor EZ 20 mg/10 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Use of Aztor EZ 20 mg/10 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate to severe liver disease.
What if you forget to take Aztor EZ Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Aztor EZ 20 mg/10 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

I am type 2 diabetic patient. Taking janumet 50/500 twice per day. Also in reports cholestrol is not in normal range so doctor prescribed aztor 10mg tab one per day. I am also taking D-Rise 60K once in week. I have taken aztor 10mg tablets for ten days after that stop. But I continuely taken Janumet and D-rise. Currently my sugar level reached to normal but some time fasting suger level varies from 106-122 mg/dl. Can I still need to take aztor tablet? When I have to stop D-rise? When I have to stop Janumet? When I have to consult doctor?

Iam diabetic for the last 25 years now on Inj Actrapid 18 units 3 times daily with Inj Lantus 20 units daily. Iam taking Janumet 50/500 BD, Volix 0.3 i before lunch. Iam also taking Telma 20, Aztor 10mg, Zyloric 100 and Nurokind LC. one daily each. Please see the attached Blood Reports wherein high CRP levels Low Iron and variations in Limphocytes,Basophils,MCHC etc. are noticed. HB A1C is 6.4 only. Does it require any further investigation or treatment?
