Benzyclor Mouth Wash Alcohol Free should be used as directed by your doctor. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. After taking a measured amount of this medicine in the mouth, rinse thoroughly so that it reaches every corner of the mouth. Spit out after rinsing. Do not swallow the medicine.

Common side effects of Benzyclor Mouth Wash Alcohol Free include staining of teeth, oral numbness, stinging sensation, or taste change in some people. Benzyclor Mouth Wash Alcohol Free is a combination of two medicines: benzydamine and chlorhexidine gluconate, which treat mouth infections. Benzydamine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Chlorhexidine gluconate is an antiseptic. It works by binding to the surface of teeth, inner cheeks, and gums. This kills the infectious microorganisms that cause gum disease, tartar, and other mouth infections.

Benzyclor Mouth Wash Alcohol Free is meant for a mouth rinse or gargle only. Spit the rinse out after use; do not swallow it.
It should generally be used undiluted. If it makes your mouth sting, you can dilute it with an equal volume of water before use.
Avoid getting it in your eyes. If you accidentally get it in your eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
Along with using Benzyclor Mouth Wash Alcohol Free, maintain good oral hygiene by brushing your teeth twice daily with a soft-bristle brush. The hard bristles of a firm toothbrush can damage gums.
Inform your dentist immediately if you see any bleeding from the gums while brushing.
