Caroza Tablet ER is used for the management of angina (heart-related chest pain). It helps to prevent new attacks of angina but does not stop an acute attack, once started. It relieves chest pain by making the heart work more efficiently.
Caroza Tablet ER should be taken in the dose as advised by your doctor, at the same time each day. It should be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. Your doctor will decide how often you should take this medicine. This may change from time to time depending on how well it is working. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit, even if you feel fine. It is preventing future harm. If you stop taking it, your chest pain may come back.

Caroza Tablet ER may cause changes in the electrical activity of the heart which is known as QT prolongation. Your doctor may get regular tests done to check the electrical activity of your heart. Tell your doctor right away if you feel faint, lightheaded or if your heart starts beating irregularly or fast, as these may be symptoms of QT prolongation. Caroza Tablet ER may also cause kidney failure in patients who already have kidney problems. Therefore, your doctor may need to do tests to check how your kidneys are working.
Q. I started taking Caroza Tablet ER about a week ago. Now I have noticed that my urine has become very dark though I am taking plenty of fluids. Is there anything to worry about?
Urine discoloration could be because of Caroza Tablet ER. You need not worry if you do not have any other symptoms. However, if it still bothers you, you can talk to your doctor who will advise you further.
Q. In case I accidentally take an excess of Caroza Tablet ER, what will happen?

Yes, it is safe to take the Caroza Tablet ER and Metoprolol together. Caroza Tablet ER has minimal effect on blood pressure in patients with angina.
Q. I am a diabetic and am taking metformin. My doctor has prescribed Caroza Tablet ER, is it safe to take both together?
If you are taking metformin along with Caroza Tablet ER, you have to be careful since Caroza Tablet ER may increase the levels of metformin in the body which can lead to metformin toxicity. Talk to your doctor who will modify the dose of metformin.
Q. I have been taking simvastatin to keep my cholesterol levels in check. Can I take Caroza Tablet ER with it?
It is recommended not to take simvastatin and Caroza Tablet ER together because it may cause simvastatin toxicity which may lead to symptoms like muscle weakness and soreness, fatigue, decreased urination, etc. Let your doctor know that you are already taking simvastatin. If it is still necessary to take, then take it exactly as advised by the doctor.
