Your child’s medicine at a glance
Codo Q Syrup Junior contains two active medicines. These work together to effectively treat dry cough (cough without mucus) that may occur in children due to allergic conditions such as common cold or hay fever. It also helps relieve symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, or watery eyes.
Give Codo Q Syrup Junior to your child orally, either before or after food but prefer giving it at a fixed time. The doctor will prescribe the dose based upon the child’s body weight, age, and clinical condition. Usually, Codo Q Syrup Junior is prescribed to be given up to 3 times a day. Do not continue the course for more than 4 to 5 days unless advised otherwise. Stick to the dose, time, and way as prescribed by the doctor.
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of the intake, help the child calm down and repeat the same dose. However, skip the dose if it is already the time for the next dose. Make sure not to double up the dose as overdose can cause side effects. Also, do not give Codo Q Syrup Junior with any other cough or cold medicine as that may also lead to increased side effects.
Codo Q Syrup Junior can cause some minor and temporary side effects such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, skin rash, excitation, or confusion. Usually, these episodes subside on their own. However, if worrisome, do seek medical assistance.
Never self-medicate your child. Always consult your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child. Let the doctor know about your child’s complete medical history as it is significant in the formulation of your child’s care plan.
