D Cet Forte Tablet is a combination of two medicines that effectively treat filariasis. It fights against the worms to relieve the discomfort caused due to the infestation.
D Cet Forte Tablet is a prescription medicine. It is advised to take it as the prescription. It should be taken with food, but it must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. The treatment must be completed even if you feel better.

How D Cet Forte Tablet works
D Cet Forte Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Diethylcarbamazine and Cetirizine which treat filariasis. Diethylcarbamazine works by decreasing the muscular activity and causing paralysis of these worms while Cetirizine decreases the raised eosinophil count (white blood cells) and controls allergic symptoms like cough and breathlessness.

Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
D Cet Forte Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of D Cet Forte Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
What if you forget to take D Cet Forte Tablet?
If you miss a dose of D Cet Forte Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
