Darederm Cream is a combination of four medicines: Betamethasone, Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin), Gentamicin and Tolnaftate. Betamethasone is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin), Gentamicin and Tolnaftate work by preventing the growth and multiplication of both bacteria and fungi on the skin. Together, they treat your skin infection effectively.

Are there any effective anti-fungal soaps or shampoos that I can use to treat ringworm infection? Is there a method to determine if my scalp is affected by ringworm's? If I do happen to have this, What should be my next set of actions to treat ringworm's on scalp, before visiting a hospital/clinic? Regards, PATIENT
