It helps the immune system to produce antibodies to fight against tetanus infection. However, it does not provide lifelong protection. Children need to get a booster shot at 11 or 12 years of age. Adults need a booster shot every 10 years after that. It is advisable to consult your doctor for complete information regarding vaccination schedules.

In Diphtheria

Diphtheria is a bacterial infection that causes pain and swelling in the throat. This might cause difficulty in breathing. It might also damage the heart, kidneys and nerves. Dual Antigen Vaccine gives protection against diphtheria. It is recommended to get your child vaccinated against diphtheria starting at 6 weeks through 6 years.
