Easycold XL Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat common cold symptoms. It relieves allergy symptoms like a runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, and congestion in the nose. It also relieves aches and fever associated with cold.
Easycold XL Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefits from it. Do not take this medicine more than the recommended dose, a high dose, or overdose may have harmful effects on the body. Prolong use of this medicine may harm your health, do not take it more than the prescribed duration unless your doctor advised you to do so.
This medicine is generally well tolerated by patients. However, some patients may experience a few side effects such as stomach upset, nausea, diarrhea. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking any other medicines. Always remember to consult your doctor if you are suffering from any severe stomach, liver, or kidney disease. Immediately consult your doctor if you experience any allergic reactions such as skin rashes, swelling, and itching.
Note: As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Easycold XL Tablet is banned for children under 12 years of age.

How to use Easycold XL Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Easycold XL Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Easycold XL Tablet works
Easycold XL Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Nimesulide, Phenylephrine, Cetirizine and Caffeine which relieves aches and fever associated with cold. Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.Caffeine is a stimulant which decreases sleepiness caused by Cetirizine.

Drink plenty of fluids to replace those lost from sweating and having a runny nose, get plenty of rest, eat healthily ? a low-fat, high-fibre diet is recommended, including plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. OTC drugs, gargling with salt water and sucking on menthol sweets can help relieve a sore throat and blocked nose, are generally safe for older children and adults to take, but might not be suitable for babies, young children. Avoid applying Vicks VapoRub to babies and toddlers.You should never give children under 4 years of age over-the-counter cough and cold products without checking with your child's doctor. These medicines may harm young children.
