Etaze-AF Cream is a combination of two medicines that effectively treat fungal infections of the skin. It kills the fungi that cause the infection and minimizes symptoms of inflammation such as redness, swelling, and itching.
Etaze-AF Cream should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you needed, it will not clear your condition faster and may only increase the side effects. Skin infections will usually get better after 2 to 6 weeks. Do not use the medicine for longer than your doctor has told you to and let him or her know if your condition does not improve after 2 to 6 weeks of treatment. The effects of medicine can be increased by keeping the affected area clean and dry, and washing hands before and after treating the infection.
The most common side effects of this medicine include application site reactions like burning, irritation, itching, and redness. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days. Avoid direct contact with eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way this medicine works, but talk to your doctor before using it if you have recently used another medicine for the infection. The medicine is not recommended for pregnant women. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors before using this medicine.
Etaze-AF Cream is used to treat and control fungal infections like athlete’s foot (infection between toes), Jock itch (infection of the groin area), ringworm, and other fungal skin infections (candidiasis). It also provides relief from pain, redness, itching, burning sensation and speeds up the healing process. You may notice your skin starting to get better within 4-5 days. Keep using Etaze-AF Cream for as long as it is prescribed.

How Etaze-AF Cream works
Etaze-AF Cream is a combination of two medicines: Mometasone and Terbinafine which treat skin infections. Mometasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Terbinafine is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.

FAQs
What is this Etaze-AF Cream used for?
Etaze-AF Cream is a combination medicine for fungal skin infections that are inflamed or itchy (for example, fungal rashes with redness and intense itching). The antifungal (terbinafine) targets the fungus, and the steroid (mometasone) reduces the swelling and itch.
Can anyone use Etaze-AF Cream, or are there people who must not use it?
Etaze-AF Cream should not be used if the person is allergic to terbinafine, mometasone, related corticosteroids, or any ingredient in the medicine. Also, individuals should avoid using Etaze-AF Cream on certain conditions, such as rosacea, acne on the face, perioral dermatitis, genital itching from non-fungal causes, open wounds, ulcerated skin, bacterial/viral infections (like impetigo or cold sores), or where the skin is broken. If in doubt, ask your doctor.
I have a rash on my face. Is Etaze-AF Cream safe to use on my face?
No, facial use of Etaze-AF Cream is restricted. It is advised not to use Etaze-AF Cream on the face for more than 5 days, and you should not use occlusion there. Facial skin and children are more prone to steroid side effects, so follow your doctor’s advice.
Are there any serious health risks from Etaze-AF Cream I should watch for?
Yes. With excessive, prolonged, or large-area use of Etaze-AF Cream, the steroid present in Etaze-AF Cream can be absorbed and cause hormone changes (HPA axis suppression). Signs can include unusual tiredness, weight changes, or rounding of the face. Also, stop and contact your doctor if you get signs of allergic reaction, rapidly worsening infection, or blurred vision/other visual problems.
My child needs treatment. Is Etaze-AF Cream okay for children?
Etaze-AF Cream is not recommended for children under 2 years. Children who absorb more through the skin can be more likely to develop steroid-related hormone effects (e.g., slowed growth). Use in children only under close medical supervision, and avoid long or large-area applications.
Can Etaze-AF Cream make a fungal infection worse?
In some cases, yes. Etaze-AF Cream can change how lesions look or suppress local immunity, and may mask or aggravate an infection. If the treated area becomes worse or does not improve, stop the medicine, and see your doctor, as they may switch to a different antifungal or steroid combination.
Are there any surprising safety warnings I should know about (e.g., around fire or clothing) for Etaze-AF Cream?
Yes, it is advised that fabric (clothing, bedding) that has been in contact with Etaze-AF Cream can burn more easily and is a fire hazard (do not smoke or go near naked flames). Washing may reduce, but may not remove product build-up from fabrics.
