Gatilox DF Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of bacterial eye infections. It prevents the growth of the bacteria that cause infection in the eyes. It also relieves the symptoms of inflammation such as redness, itchiness, and irritation.
Gatilox DF Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Read the label carefully for instruction before you use the medicine. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Do not use too much or too little. Use it in the exact dose as prescribed by the doctor or as instructed in the label.
Use of this medicine may cause burning sensation, stinging, and irritation at the application site. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. How Gatilox DF Ophthalmic Emulsion works
Gatilox DF Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Difluprednate and Gatifloxacin. Difluprednate is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red swollen and itchy. Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria in the eye by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. This treats your infection.

What if you forget to take Gatilox DF Ophthalmic Emulsion?

Quick tips
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
- Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.
- If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in.
- Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
- The burning sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
- Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
