Gemcal -Kit is a combination medicine used in the treatment of osteoporosis. It prevents bone loss and makes the bones stronger. This way it helps in preventing bone fractures.
Gemcal -Kit is best taken in an empty stomach. You should take it regularly at a fixed time each day. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. It may take several days to get the full benefit of this drug. Do not stop taking the medicine until your doctor tells you it is alright to stop. How Gemcal Tablet works
Gemcal -Kit is a combination of four medicines: Calcitriol, Calcium Carbonate, Zinc and Risedronate which treat osteoporosis. Calcitriol is a form of vitamin D which helps your body effectively absorb Calcium Carbonate and additionally supports the muscles needed to avoid falls. Calcium Carbonate and Zinc are minerals which help build and maintain bones. Risedronate is a bisphosphonate which works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone. This strengthens the bone and minimizes the risk of fractures.

What if you forget to take Gemcal Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Gemcal -Kit, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
