Glyneutol Injection

Prescription Required

Product introduction

Glyneutol Injection is a combination of two medicines. It is used in the treatment of cerebral edema. It works by drawing water out of the tissues in the brain and decreases swelling around the brain.

Glyneutol Injection is given as an injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Do not try to self administer the injection until you know how to inject it. Your doctor will decide the exact amount of dose, hence follow your doctor advice while taking the medicine.

The medicine is generally safe to use with no common side effects. Take caution while taking medicine if you are suffering from liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

In Cerebral edema (accumulation of excessive fluid in the brain)

Symptoms of brain swelling (cerebral edema) include headache, dizziness, nausea, numbness or weakness, loss of coordination or balance, loss of the ability to see or speak, seizures (fits), memory loss, incontinence, or altered level of consciousness. How Glyneutol Injection works

Glyneutol Injection is a combination of two medicines: Glycerin and Mannitol which treat increased pressure in the skull/brain. Mannitol is an osmotic diuretic which draws water out of tissues in the brain and decreases swelling around the brain. Addition of Glycerin prevents the swelling from coming back which may possibly occur with plain Mannitol.
