Ketotopic 2.5% Gel is only meant for external use and should be used strictly as advised by your doctor. A thin layer of the medicine should be massaged into the affected areas with clean and dry hands. Avoid getting in contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth, and avoid applying it on wounded or damaged skin. In case of accidental contact with these areas, you should rinse it with cold water.
It is usually safe with little or no side effects. However, it may cause a burning sensation and skin irritation at the site of application in some people. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. If they do not get better with time or worsen, you should let your doctor know. What if you forget to take Ketotopic Gel?

How long should Ketotopic 2.5% Gel be used?
The usual recommendation is to apply 5-10 cm of the medicine to the affected area 2-4 times a day for 7 days. If your symptoms worsen or persist even after 7 days, stop using the medicine and consult your doctor.
What precautions are necessary while using Ketotopic 2.5% Gel?
Use it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the medicine. Protect your skin with sunscreen and protective clothing from sunlight even on a cloudy day. This should be done during treatment as well as after 2 weeks of stopping it.
