Lysoflam-MR Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasms. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms.
Lysoflam-MR Tablet is best taken in an empty stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer duration than recommended by your doctor.
Some of the common side effects on of this medicine includes nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhea, sleepiness, and loss of appetite. Lysoflam-MR Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Diclofenac and Metaxalone, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles.Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Metaxalone is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm. It relieves pain and improves the movement of muscles.

Yes, the use of Lysoflam-MR Tablet can cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or with antacids can prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids. Talk to your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration like dark colored and strong-smelling urine and a low frequency of urination. Yes, the use of Lysoflam-MR Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

The use of Lysoflam-MR Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkillers (NSAIDs) or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or in patients who have active, recurrent stomach ulcer / bleeding. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure, or any underlying liver or kidney disease.
Can the use of Lysoflam-MR Tablet cause damage to kidneys?
Yes, the long-term use of Lysoflam-MR Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body which leads to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.
Can I take a higher than the recommended dose of this medicine?
No, taking a higher than the recommended dose of Lysoflam-MR Tablet can lead to increased chances of side effects. If you are experiencing increased severity of pain or the pain is not relieved by the recommended doses, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
