This medicine may cause side effects like nausea, taste change, loss of appetite, flatulence, stomach pain, diarrhea, and skin rash. However, these are temporary and usually subside on their own. If these do not resolve or worry you, please consult your doctor. Your doctor might suggest ways of dealing with your side effects or treating them if they are bothersome.
You should not take it if you have type 1 diabetes mellitus, if you have diabetic ketoacidosis (high levels of acid in your blood), or if you have severe kidney or liver disease. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have ever had heart disease. It may not be suitable. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Diabetes Ireland is delighted to hear of the Harvard success and congratulate Professor Melton and colleagues on figuring out the complex series of steps necessary to turn stem cells into beta cells. Hopefully, they can negotiate the regulations for mass production so that an abundant supply of beta cells is available an new and innovative methods will be developed to cure/treat Type 1 diabetes. Type I diabetes is an autoimmune condition whereby the body kills off its own beta (insulin producing) cells resulting in the need for daily insulin administration through the skin. Replacing beta cells in the first step towards a cure, but the replaced beta cells need to be protected from the body?s autoimmune response. This means protecting them in a coating or taking drugs to prevent the response (possible worse side effects than diabetes).
I am taking kglim m2 and glycomet 500 sr twice a day. Still my sugar is not in control. My fasting is 185 after taking so much of medicines. I was a heavy drunker and m not boozing since last 2 months. After I stopped boozing my sugar level has increased. Please advise how do I get this in control. While I used to booze my sugar level were well in control. I used to take K glim M1,maxformin 750 in mrng and k glim m1 and 1/2 maxformin 750 at night
yeah heavy alcohol intake can reduce your blood sugar level. but alcohol has a few benefits when it is taken in moderate amount. At the same time it is very bad for your health. It can cause cirrhosis of your liver, it can cause neuropathy or brain damage, hypoglycaemia, gastritis and nutritional deficiencies. So it is better to avoid alcohol if you don't have sufficient mediclaim. consult your diabetologist for the titration of your diabetic medications. control your diet. You may require insulin. My advise would be control your diet. stop alcohol. Do yoga. Take glimepiride 0.5 mg (Gp 0.5) after breakfast along with current medication.
