How Mefnabet-DR Tablet works

My son is having acute abdominal pain and liquid stool (almost water) from last 3 days. He is also vomiting food, water, medicine, ORS and everything he takes (he actually doesn't want to take anything). On the 3rd day there is a little bit of improvement on the abdominal pain and vomiting tendency. But the liquid stool discharge continues. Only there is some improvement in the frequency of liquid stool discharge. There is also a little bit of improvement in his energy level on the 3rd day. On the first 2 days he had almost zero energy level. He couldn't move much. Doctor's advice are as follows- 1. Aciloc only syrup 4ml twice daily for 6 days 2. Diof DS syrup 4 ml twice daily for 4 days 3. P250 syrup 4ml S.O.S. if temperature>100F 4. Domstal MT 10 MG 1 tablet S.O.S. for vomiting. 5. Doctor advised not to give him any food until he wants it and to give him only ORS in any form. 6. I couldn't upload the prescription for some technical error in the submission form, but doctor wrote in the observation section of the prescription AGE (viral) Dehydration++" please advise how can I handle the situation to get it normal."

In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small and frequent sips. Also, avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with the medicine. Talk to your doctor if you have vomiting persists and you notice any signs of dehydration like less urination with dark coloured and strong-smelling urine. Do not take any other medicine without consulting your doctor.

Yes, the use of Mefnabet-DR Tablet can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry. Avoid spicy, salty and acidic foods (like lemons).
