Olmin Trio 40 Tablet is a combination of medicines used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) when a single medication is not effective. It helps to lower high blood pressure thus reduces chances of future heart attack and stroke.
Olmin Trio 40 Tablet should be taken with food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. It contains a diuretic (water pill) and will make you urinate more so, it is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well. High blood pressure does not usually have symptoms and if you stop taking it your risk of heart attack or stroke may increase.
The most common side effects of this medicine include ankle swelling, headache, dizziness, vertigo, tiredness, and taste change. Consult your doctor If any of these bother you, or get worse, or won't go away. Drink plenty of fluids while taking medicine to overcome muscle weakness, dry mouth, and extreme thirst.
Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking especially those used to treat high blood pressure or heart conditions. You should have your blood pressure, kidney function, level of electrolytes, and blood sugar level checked regularly to make sure that this medicine is working properly.

How Olmin Trio Tablet works
Olmin Trio 40 Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Olmesartan Medoxomil, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone. Olmesartan Medoxomil is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Olmin Trio 40 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Olmin Trio 40 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Olmin Trio 40 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Olmin Trio 40 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Olmin Trio 40 Tablet is not recommended in these patients.

What if you forget to take Olmin Trio Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Olmin Trio 40 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Hello Sir, My BP was 130/100 and doctor suggested me to go for Olmin 40 and after taking it for 3 month, my BP had come down to 120/80, there after doctor reduce my dose to Olmin 20. I am using Olmin 20 from last 5 month and now the BP level has come down to 110/80 due to medicine and excercise, can i reduce the dosage to Olmin 10 from now or i should only take Olmin 20?
