Oragud Mouth Wash is a combination of two medicines. It is used to treat the inflammation of gums. This mouthwash has antimicrobial action on the infection-causing bacteria. It also reduces inflammation such as redness, pain, and swelling.
Oragud Mouth Wash should be used as directed by your doctor. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. After taking a measured amount of this medicine in the mouth, rinsed thoroughly so that it reaches every corner of the mouth. The spit out after rinsing. Do not swallow the medicine.
The medicine is generally safe with little or no side effects. However, it may cause a bitter taste, staining of teeth, or taste change in some people. If any of these bother you, let your doctor know.

Oragud Mouth Wash is a combination of two medicines: Benzydamine and Chlorhexidine gluconate which treat mouth infections. Benzydamine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Chlorhexidine gluconate is an antiseptic and disinfectant. It works by binding to the surface of teeth, inner cheeks and gums. This kills the infectious microorganisms that cause gum disease, tartar and other mouth infections.

What if you forget to take Oragud Mouth Wash?

Quick tips
- Oragud Mouth Wash is used to reduce pain and swelling in the gums.
- It is meant for mouth rinse or gargle only. Spit the rinse out after use, do not swallow it.
- It should generally be used undiluted. If it makes your mouth sting, you can dilute it with an equal volume of water before use.
- Avoid getting it in your eyes. If you accidentally get it in your eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- Do not use it for more than seven days, unless otherwise advised by your doctor.
- Along with using Oragud Mouth Wash maintain good oral hygiene by brushing your teeth twice daily with a soft bristle brush. The hard bristles of a firm toothbrush can damage gums.
- Inform your dentist immediately if you see any bleeding from the gums while brushing.
- Quit smoking in order for the medicine to be more effective. Also, smoking is a major risk factor for developing gum disease.
- Have regular dental checkups at intervals recommended by your dentist (this is normally at least once a year).
