Orthenta P 50mg/325mg Tablet is a pain relieving medicine. It is used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain in various conditions such as muscle pain, joint pain, menstrual cramps, and toothache. It is also used for treatment of fever, headache, and post-surgery related pains.
Orthenta P 50mg/325mg Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Your doctor may change the dose and time between doses according to your pain level and your needs. Do not take more or use it for longer than recommended by your doctor.
Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, sleepiness, vomiting, and dizziness. If any of these side effects bother you or do not go away, you should let your doctor know. How to use Orthenta P Tablet

How Orthenta P Tablet works
Orthenta P 50mg/325mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: tapentadol and paracetamol which relieve pain. Tapentadol is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever and pain.

Orthenta P 50mg/325mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Orthenta P 50mg/325mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, Orthenta P 50mg/325mg Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Liver
CAUTION
Orthenta P 50mg/325mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Orthenta P 50mg/325mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, the use of Orthenta P 50mg/325mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
What if you forget to take Orthenta P Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Orthenta P 50mg/325mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
