Parichol-D Eye Ointment is a combination of three medicines. It is used in treating bacterial infections of the eyes. It kills the bacteria that cause infection. It also relieves pain, itching, discomfort, and irritation.

Parichol-D Eye Ointment is strictly advised to be used only in the eyes. Use it in the prescribed dose and duration. Apply it only to the affected eyes. You must wash your hand before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. The medicine should not be stopped suddenly without a doctor's consultation.

It is generally safe, but it may sometimes cause discomfort, irritation, and burning sensation in the eyes.  These effects are mild and go away in some time. However, if these effects persist, you should consult the doctor immediately.

Parichol-D Eye Ointment is used to treat bacterial infection of the eyes such as conjunctivitis or pink eye. Use it 2-3 times a day for atleast a week or as prescribed by the doctor. Your symptoms might improve after using Parichol-D Eye Ointment. However, make sure to complete the full course of treatment. This will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning.

How Parichol-D Eye Ointment works

Parichol-D Eye Ointment is a combination of two antibiotics (Chloramphenicol, Polymyxin B) and a steroid (Dexamethasone). The antibiotics work by killing the bacteria or stopping their growth. Together, they treat your eye infection effectively. The steroid blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
