Ravovan 1000mg Tablet should be taken in the dose as advised by your doctor, at the same time each day. It should be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. Your doctor will decide how often you should take this medicine. This may change from time to time depending on how well it is working. What if you forget to take Ravovan Tablet?

Q. What are the serious side effects of Ravovan 1000mg Tablet?
Ravovan 1000mg Tablet may cause changes in the electrical activity of the heart which is known as QT prolongation. Your doctor may get regular tests done to check the electrical activity of your heart. Tell your doctor right away if you feel faint, lightheaded or if your heart starts beating irregularly or fast, as these may be symptoms of QT prolongation. Ravovan 1000mg Tablet may also cause kidney failure in patients who already have kidney problems. Therefore, your doctor may need to do tests to check how your kidneys are working.
Q. I started taking Ravovan 1000mg Tablet about a week ago. Now I have noticed that my urine has become very dark though I am taking plenty of fluids. Is there anything to worry about?

If you are taking metformin along with Ravovan 1000mg Tablet, you have to be careful since Ravovan 1000mg Tablet may increase the levels of metformin in the body which can lead to metformin toxicity. Talk to your doctor who will modify the dose of metformin.
Q. I have been taking simvastatin to keep my cholesterol levels in check. Can I take Ravovan 1000mg Tablet with it?
It is recommended not to take simvastatin and Ravovan 1000mg Tablet together because it may cause simvastatin toxicity which may lead to symptoms like muscle weakness and soreness, fatigue, decreased urination, etc. Let your doctor know that you are already taking simvastatin. If it is still necessary to take, then take it exactly as advised by the doctor.
